Pupils win ‘Golden Tickets’ to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory The Musical

Key Stage 2 pupils are celebrating after winning their own golden tickets to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory The Musical at the Birmingham Hippodrome!

The children had been applying their wonderful imaginations and creativity to produce a range of baked goods and set models inspired by the classic children’s story as part of the ‘Classroom Creations’ competition.

Entries were judged by actor Gareth Snook, who plays Willy Wonka in the stage production.

Principal Lady Kirsty Grundy said: “Working closely alongside the Hippodrome Network, our children get chance to take part in exciting competitions such as Classroom Creations project and the possible opportunity to watch amazing productions such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory; The Musical.

“What the children produced was amazing and they have been so motivated to win. These are the sort of experiences that children remember for all their lives.”

Shireland Technology Primary is proud to work in partnership the Birmingham Hippodrome and are part of the Hippodrome Education Network (HEN).
