Meet the Team

Principal Kirsty Grundy draws on over two decades of teaching and leadership experience across the Primary and Secondary phases. As Primary Education Lead for the Trust, she believes that harnessing technology for learning can enable, engage and enthuse students and raise school standards. She leads the Primary Trust team and together they make sure that the Technology Primary delivers the Trust’s high expectations of providing the best technology-enabled opportunities for staff and pupils.

Senior Vice Principal and SEN Co-ordinator Claire Keeler has enjoyed teaching Early Years & Primary phases in a range of settings across the authority. She has supported both pupils and staff through her leadership in schools and role as a Specialist Leader in Education for Early Years and phonics.

Claire believes in teaching and learning opportunities that challenge, inspire and adapt to meet the needs of all learners; innovations in technology are essential in facilitating these.

She is an advocate for Early Years education and strives to create the best possible provision for pupils from the very start of their journey.

As Office Manager who deals with the attendance and finance for Shireland Technology Primary, Karla brings extensive experience and knowledge to our school.

Before joining us, she worked at Shireland Collegiate Academy as the Exams Officer but has worked in the Education section for over 10 years dealing with Finance, HR and Health and Safety.

Emma is our Senior Safeguarding Officer at STP. Emma started here with us in 2020 and has a BA (Hons) in Working with Children, Families and Young People. She has worked in Safeguarding for over a decade and has a vast knowledge base in relation to many safeguarding issues. Prior to her role here at STP, she worked in a wide range of safeguarding services including Sandwell Children’s Trust. She is also an accredited NSPCC trainer and provides safeguarding training for the staff across Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust. Emma is passionate about ensuring the safety and welfare of all the children at STP.
