School Uniform
At Shireland Technology Primary we want to highlight how school uniform is paramount in promoting a cohesive learning environment and cementing pride in the school community. We have designed a uniform that will be both comfortable and smart, to ensure that every child has a sense of belonging within the school.
The following outlines the uniform expectations for Early Years/Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, which have slight variances, as well as the PE kit which is applicable across all year groups:
Early Years/Key Stage 1 (Nursery, Reception, Year One and Two):

Uniform suppliers:
Shireland-branded sweatshirts/cardigans, embroidered with our school logo, are available only from our exclusive supplier; CC Uniforms Ltd. Other items may be purchased from retailers of your choice, provided they meet the requirements on this list.
Second-hand Uniform:
- We liaise with the Friends of STP and run a recycled uniform scheme. Parents donate uniform that is in good condition to STP and it is stored in size order in clear boxes.
- New reception families are informed of the recycled uniform scheme at their welcome event.
- The Friends of STP also have a uniform stall at the Summer and Christmas Fayres for any families requiring any additional uniform.
- Families are reminded termly of the recycled uniform scheme via Dojo posts.
Important to Note:
- Salwar Kameez and headscarves may be worn and should be plain black
- Tights should be plain black and socks should be white
- Hair bands, accessories and slides are permitted and should be neutral, black, white or blue. Excessively large accessories will not be permitted
- The only jewellery pupils are permitted to wear are one small pair of stud earrings, a watch or any religious adornment
