Shireland Technology Primary is delighted to announce that its recent Macmillan Coffee Morning raised over £200 in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. The event was a fantastic success, bringing together pupils, parents, staff, and members of the local community in a spirit of generosity and solidarity for those affected by cancer.
The funds raised will directly contribute to Macmillan Cancer Support’s vital work, helping provide essential services such as nursing care, emotional support, and practical advice to people living with cancer and their families. The school community’s contributions are a meaningful way to support Macmillan’s mission to ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
Andy Collins, Associate Principal at Shireland Technology Primary, said: “We are incredibly proud of our school community for coming together to support such an important cause. The overwhelming generosity shown by everyone—whether through baking, donating, or simply attending—has been truly inspiring. We are delighted that this event not only raised funds but also helped raise awareness of the invaluable support that Macmillan provides to those in need.”
The coffee morning featured a selection of delicious homemade cakes, coffee, and friendly conversation, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all. It was a perfect example of how the school community can unite to make a tangible difference.
Shireland Technology Primary would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in the event. Your kindness and generosity will help Macmillan continue its vital work supporting individuals and families facing the challenges of cancer.
